As a charity, we depend on the generosity of many organisations and individuals. There are many ways you can support the Centre. You can make a one-off or monthly donation, fundraise for us, volunteer your time and skills, or book a room.
Simply click on this button and you’ll be taken to a safe site where you can donate in a few more clicks. We are so grateful for whatever you can give. It all goes to keep the Centre running.
We’d also be very grateful if you could consider leaving a gift to us in your will, and asking family and friends to donate a gift to us in memory instead of flowers when a loved one passes away.
Did you know you can also raise money for us at no cost to you when you shop online?
Sign up on our Easyfundraising page where you can shop with over 4,700 online retailers.
Would you consider doing a fundraising activity or event for us? It could be as simple as a coffee morning or a sponsored walk, to raise funds to help our work continue. While you would be responsible for organising the activity, let us know about it. We can help publicise it and give you tips so it runs smoothly.
We have many opportunities for volunteers. You could help with the activities we run, support us in the back office, or help with catering, gardening, or maintenance. We can offer you flexible work times and training where required – e.g. Food Hygiene, First Aid, or Safeguarding. We also are looking for Trustees for our board.
Volunteering is a sociable way to make a difference in the community, and you can build up a portfolio of experience which could help you find a job. All our volunteers undergo a DBS check.
Katie is a capable young Mum with a lovely personality, who joined us at a time when she had lost self-confidence. She began as a volunteer and later became a Trustee. After working at WNRC lunch club and coffee mornings, she gained training certificates in Food Hygiene and Child Safeguarding. She also won awards including Trent and Dove ‘Volunteering Through Adversity’. This success spurred her on to consider her career options. She trained at a local college to become a Teaching Assistant, and now has a full time job helping to educate the next generation.
We are so proud to have been able to help Katie along her journey.
If you would like to consider becoming a volunteer, please get in touch, you never know what it might lead to!
We have a large room ideal for childrens parties and small rooms suitable for interviews and consultations. Regular or one-off bookings are welcome. The room booking includes the use of our kitchen.
